JACIE Certification e-course for Centres

Header

EBMT and JACIE announces a new, open access, e-learning course for centres who are starting, or already on, their JACIE Certification journey - the JACIE Certification e-course for Centres.

What is the e-course?

EBMT established JACIE in 1998 as Europe's only official certification body in the field of haematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and cellular therapy.  JACIE is the result of international collaboration among cellular therapy professionals. This peer-review approach, based on a philosophy of support and facilitation, allows for an understanding of what centres need to help them through the certification process.

This knowledge and experience have been used to help create a new, online, easy access, certification preparation course which aims to help all staff working in centres feel more confident in preparing for and undergoing the JACIE Inspection.

The modules present information in a variety of formats, including presentations from experienced JACIE Quality Management Committee members as well as JACIE Certification Coordinators.

This new e-course is available to both members and non-members of the EBMT and is free to access at any time.

Who is the e-course Designed for?

JACIE understands the team approach in preparing for an inspection and so have ensured that this free course is open to all, from the Programme Director, doctors, nurses, and quality managers, to the collection and processing teams. It is also a great resource to help an HSCT programme explain to hospital administrators what is involved in the certification journey and understand the requirements of the Standards and how they support the day-to-day work in the transplant programme.

Learning Goals

  • Understand how to apply for certification.
  • Be able to amend their errors by reviewing the Tricky Standards and reflecting on the content provided.
  • Reassure their staff of the certification processes and lessen the stress/anxiety around the inspection itself.
