As we look back on our journey from 1974-2024, we are humbled by the remarkable achievements of the European and international transplant and cellular therapy community. Together, we have pioneered groundbreaking advancements, saved countless lives, and inspired hope where it was once scarce. Meet Our Past Presidents
In 1974, a small group of visionary clinicians and scientists, Jon van Rood, Bruno Speck, Dick van Bekkum, and Eliane Gluckman and others, started a joint discussion on bone marrow transplantation and set the start of the EBMT.
Now, five decades later, we celebrate EBMT's 50th anniversary, honoring half a century of transformative advancements in haematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and cellular therapy. Meet all the past presidents of our society below.
