Organised by the Chronic Malignancies Working Party (CMWP) and the Autoimmune Diseases Working Party (ADWP), this event promises the latest updates and evidence-based insights crucial for advancing patient care and research.

Event Highlights Include:
▪ In-depth sessions on cutting-edge topics, such as EBMT disease-specific recommendations for HCT in MDS, autoimmune disorders (AID) and CAR-T in AID, MDS diagnostics and prognostication, sequencing of therapies in myeloma, and novel cellular therapies.
▪ Key presentations by renowned experts on complex subjects, including the application of artificial intelligence in haematologic disorders and novel plasma cell-targeted treatments across both myeloma and rheumatological indications.
▪ Interactive case studies where participants can explore the practical applications of new treatments and horizon scanning for state-of-the-art therapies in AIDs.
▪ Joint physician-nurse sessions emphasising collaborative care approaches in HCT for autoimmune and haematologic diseases.
▪ Networking opportunities to foster connections with global leaders in haematology and immunology.

EBMT is thrilled to announce the expansion of the EBMT Travel Grant programme, designed to enhance participation, foster inclusivity, and advance education within our Educational Meetings. These grants intend to alleviate the financial burden of in-person attendance to meetings, covering registration fees, and providing coverage for travel and accommodation expenses. 

 

TRAVEL GRANTS FOR CASE PRESENTERS

Eligible oral case or abstract presenters selected for the scientific programme of the Educational Meeting will receive an EBMT Travel Grant. The grant will cover registration fee costs, and a maximum reimbursement for travel and accommodation expenses. 

Travel Grant Amounts

The maximum reimbursement will depend on the region of residence of the participant:

Eligibility Requirements 

In order to be eligible for a presenter grant, applicants must:

  • Submit a case or abstract through the system.
  • Register to the meeting via the registration platform and complete the payment. Applicants are entitled to cancel for a full refund if they do not receive a grant according to the given deadline.
  • Submit proof of their trainee or junior faculty status. Junior faculty is defined by EBMT as having five years or less of experience in a faculty role. Please note that EBMT will collect the date of birth of the presenter for statistical purposes; however, age is not an eligibility criterion for accessing these grants.

To apply for the grant, applicants are required to submit the following documents:

  • CV (Curriculum Vitae)
  • Letter of Motivation (maximum 500 words)

Documents must be submitted through the system. 

Other Information

Eligible applicants who do not require or cannot accept a grant can select not to apply during the case submission. This does not have an impact on the eligibility of the case or abstract.

Non-trainee or non-junior faculty are welcome to submit their cases and abstracts, but they will not be eligible for a grant. This does not have an impact on the eligibility of the case or abstract.

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted by the Scientific Committee of the meeting. Candidates will be evaluated based on their merits and the quality/relevance of their work.

Please note that the amount will not be paid in advance, but rather after the meeting, upon receipt of the completed reimbursement form along with all relevant receipts in the correct format.

 

OUTREACH TRAVEL GRANTS

EBMT offers 6 outreach grants for this Educational Meeting, in order to improve access to education from participants residing in countries classified as low-income, lower-middle-income, and upper-middle income economies. The grant will cover registration fee costs, and a maximum 1,800 EUR reimbursement for travel and accommodation expenses.

Outreach grants are not linked to case or abstract submission, but applicants are encouraged to submit their work if it is relevant to the meeting programme.

Eligibility Requirements 

In order to be eligible for an outreach grant, applicants must:

  • Provide proof of residency in a country classified by The World Bank Group as a low-income, lower-middle-income, or upper-middle-income economy, regardless of seniority. Please note that Ukraine is currently included in the low to lower-middle-income category by EBMT.
  • Submit proof of residency in a country classified by The World Bank Group as an upper-middle-income economy (only applicable to trainees or junior faculty).
  • If applicable, provide proof of trainee or junior faculty status. Junior faculty is defined by EBMT as having five years or less of experience in a faculty role. A letter from the institution's Head of Department is recommended; a template can be found here.

Please note that while EBMT will collect applicants' dates of birth for statistical purposes, age is not a criterion for eligibility.

Only trainee or junior faculty residents of countries defined by The World Bank Group as upper-middle-income economies are eligible for an outreach grant.

For senior faculty (more than five years of experience in a faculty role) from low-income and lower-middle-income economies, it will be required that they mention their community impact plan (how they plan to disseminate the knowledge acquired in their respective local communities) in their Letter of Motivation.

NURSES OUTREACH TRAVEL GRANT

To maintain EBMT’s commitment to provide access to education for nurses, EBMT offers one grant per Educational Meeting for a nurse. The grant will cover registration fee costs, and a maximum reimbursement for travel and accommodation expenses.

The maximum reimbursement will depend on the region of residence of the participant:

  • Submit their application through the system.
  • Submit proof of their nurse status. EBMT recommends a signed letter from the institution.

The registration will close on 14 September 2025, or when is sold out. 


EBMT members can use their CIC code to enjoy the early bird fee until the registration closes or it is sold out. If you are not part of EBMT yet, please consider becoming a member. For more information visit this page.
*Nurses, PhD Students, Physicians in training and Data Managers will need to provide accreditation (ID card or letter from your institution) during the registration process.

Fee includes entry to all sessions, coffee breaks and lunches during the course.

Registration Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be electronically mailed or postmarked by using the option "Modify registration".

Refund of registration fees will be as follows:

  • In case of cancellation, up until one month prior to the beginning of the meeting, your registration fee will be reimbursed in full (less bank charges).
  • If the cancellation is notified between 15 and 30 days prior to the beginning of the meeting, 50% of the registration fee will be reimbursed (less bank charges).
  • Cancellations notified between 1 and 15 days registration fee will not be refunded.

Certificate of Attendance

After the event, you will receive an email with a short survey to evaluate the course. Once you have completed it, you will be able to download the certificate of attendance.
