"Hello, I am Ruth Clout. I work at the Christie Hospital in Manchester as the Lead nurse Haematology/Cell Therapy Specialist Nurses & and clinical educators. I have worked in haematology and transplantation for 24 years both as an inpatient & outpatient nurse, and as a clinical educator.

I am pleased with my appointment as the Working Party nurse for the CTIWP for another term. In 2021 I took on the role of the CTIWP nurse. I have been involved in projects within EBMT which has included the lead author for the cell therapy chapter in collaboration with others from European centres. I helped develop the nurse’s forum for the E-learning platform. I have spoken at several of the EBMT meetings, including the Annual Meetings and CAR-T Meetings where I have presented and chaired sessions. I have also worked with colleagues on the GoCART Coalition supporting educational webinars. I wanted the opportunity to continue and work on further development within this role. This will include reviewing the nursing forum and its existing format, continued involvement with GoCART and future educational resources for nurses. As we see more advances in cellular therapy, the CTIWP gives the opportunity for me a the Working Party nurse to build on how these advances impact the nurses role and patient care."
