On a beautiful winter day in Rome, Italy, we welcomed 28 trainees for our JACIE Inspector Training Course on the February 5 2025. This session was held in collaboration with CNT in Italy, who graciously provided us with a great space and venue. Prior to the workshop, each trainee completed e-learning modules covering the Accreditation process and the FACT-JACIE Standards, laying a strong foundation for the day’s immersive session on inspection processes and techniques. We were delighted to have inspectors Anna Chierichini, Renza Monteleone, Ivana Ferrero, and Aurora Vassanelli join us, offering invaluable insights into the practical challenges faced by inspectors.
Our trainees will now take an exam on the Standards relevant to their specialties before participating as observers in an inspection. Afterward, this team will join inspection teams conducting inspections across Europe.

"I attended this JACIE Inspector Training Course in Rome and it was an amazing experience. I had the opportunity to share this one-day training with several health care professionals from Italy with a deep experience in transplantation. All participants attended lectures from experts which explained and clarified the key point of the inspection process in depth, from pre-inspection to final accreditation.
A series of work groups and role plays gave all of us the opportunity to manage “real life” experiences that might be happen during an inspection. The presence of expert inspectors as trainers allowed us to receive guidance on the management of these situations. Funny moments proved to be very useful too!
Finally, a big thank to the colleagues who made this course possible including speakers, the people of the JACIE Accreditation Office (Raquel, Xiu Li, Tuula) and representatives of the Italian national competent authorities, National Transplant and Blood Centers (Letizia, Benedetta, Roberta, Maria Pia, Aurora and Simonetta)."
