My name is Marina Ben Izhak, a nurse and deputy head nurse in the Bone Marrow Transplant Department at Hadassah medical centre in Jerusalem.
Over the past 16 years, I have been an integral part of the bone marrow transplant unit, where transplants of various types are performed for a range of diseases. In the last six years, our unit has expanded and now integrates both adults and children undergoing bone marrow transplants, including for non-malignant diseases such as Osteopetrosis, Adrenoleukodystrophy, HLH and other inborn errors.
I am honoured to begin my second term as an IEWP nurse. As an IEWP nurse, I have participated in several training days for nursing staff and have given lectures. I hope to continue being part of collaborations with other EBMT Working Party Nurses.
I am looking forward to working as a team, learning and promoting research.
