by
Registry/Data Management

On April 14-17, 2024 the 50th Annual Meeting of the EBMT took place in Glasgow, UK. The congress gathered over 4,500 attendees from more than 100 countries and was dedicated for all those involved in the care of transplant and cellular therapy patients, including physicians, nurses, data managers, statisticians, quality managers, cell therapists, paediatricians, pharmacists, psychologists, psychiatrists and psychoanalysts, transplant coordinators, lab scientists, trainees and  patients.

Due to the scope of the event and engagement with Registry stakeholders, the EuroTraCTOR training sessions were organised on April 15-16, 2024 as part of the Annual Meeting program.

There were two types of sessions:

  1. Hands-on training sessions (three in total, in person only) and
  2. Data Management sessions (eight interactive sessions, hybrid). Details are available in the April Registry Newsletter or official programme. Both sessions welcomed many attendees.

The training activities marked an important milestone and deliverable for the EuroTraCTOR project, demonstrating the consortium's commitment to advancing data management practices and enhancing the capabilities of its stakeholders. The sessions provided a platform for learning, discussion and collaboration, significantly contributing to the project's goals.

The EuroTraCTOR training effectively equipped participants with key skills, fostered collaboration, and reaffirmed the project's objective of improving registry operations and stakeholder engagement.
