Inspector Committee

The JACIE Inspector Committee (JIC) is an important committee in the JACIE structure in developing and advocating strategies for maintaining and improving the high level and quality of inspections by retaining and recruiting a committed, high performing pool of inspectors. The key objectives of the JIC are:

  • Contribute to the development of the inspection format, including inspector team composition, checklist and onsite inspection format.
  • Making recommendations for retention strategies in order to strengthen the pool of JACIE inspectors and maintain a high performing pool of inspectors.
  • Making recommendations for development of continuing training and education both online and in-person training formats.

Earlier in 2024 JIC said a fond farewell to: Eugenia Trigoso Arjona, John Fitzgerald, Christopher Dean Dalley, Aurora Vassanelli and Sandra Loaiza. They have been instrumental in developing educational resources to our inspectors, such as the webinar series and the blended format inspector training and driving changes such as an increase of per diem- payments for our inspectors. We are hugely grateful for their expertise and commitment during their time in this Committee.

Following an open call for applications, we are pleased to welcome several new members to the JIC. Carlos Torrico (Spain), Ivana Ferrero (Italy), Laura Lombardi (Italy) and Stuart Kennedy (United Kingdom), are joining the committee, bringing fresh perspectives and additional expertise that will undoubtedly strengthen the JIC’s impact.

Olga López, Fabio Culurgioni and Dania Arabi will continue on the JIC for another two years to complete their term. Their continued involvement will help facilitate the handover process and support the integration of the new members.

As we move forward, the JIC will continue to advocate for and support our inspectors in different ways. The Committee is in the process of developing the objectives for 2025, which Will be shared in due course.
