As part of the monitoring of the continuing compliance to the Standards, an interim audit takes place at the end of the second year of certification. The interim audit focuses primarily on the function of the Quality Management System (QMS) as well as monitoring any changes to the programme during the certification period.
Historically, the Centres interim audit has been based on the edition of the Standards the Centre was inspected and certified against. From 1 February 2025 the interim audit will be carried out against the current edition of the FACT-JACIE Standards. The change will support all certified Centres in ensuring that they are following the latest edition of FACT-JACIE Standards promoting continuous quality improvement.
