The EBMT Principal Investigators (PIs) were asked to vote for the recent EBMT Bylaw amendments. Here are the results:
Article 2 - The Board
97% voted to approve the amendments
3% voted to reject the amendments
The approved amendments will promote a more active governance role for the Board of the Association. Duties such as overseeing strategic planning, decision-making and financial planning fall under governance activities. Also, it is important to clearly state that the Board of Association is responsible for defining the organisation's mission, vision and values.
Article 3 - The General Assembly
99% voted to approve the amendments
1% voted to reject the amendments
As part of embedding diversity in the Board Meetings, the approved amendments will permit inviting stakeholders that will have a voice but no vote. In addition to the Board's governance provisions, the General Assembly will ratify the Board-approved annual fee for membership as well as approve the Scientific and Educational Policy that is drafted and prepared by the Scientific Council.
Article 9 - New Haemoglobinopathies Working Party
92% voted to approve the amendments
8% voted to reject the amendments
You approved and endorsed the creation of a new EBMT Haemoglbinopathies Working Party.
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
96% voted to approve the amendments
4% voted to reject the amendments
You voted to update the bylaws by removing any mention of him or her to reflect a gender-neutral set of regulations in line with EBMT's mission, vision, and values.
