Acute Leukaemia Working Party Educational Meeting 2024

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the upcoming Acute Leukaemia Working Party Educational Meeting in Milan, Italy, scheduled for the 25 & 26 October 2024.

This event promises to be an enriching experience, featuring a blend of strategic discussions, educational sessions, and cutting-edge scientific presentations.
Join us for strategic discussions and collaborative planning sessions aimed at advancing the goals of the Acute Leukaemia Working Party. Take this opportunity to network, engage in informal conversations, and delve deeper into key initiatives and action plans.

Prepare to be inspired by our keynote speakers as they challenge conventional wisdom and explore new frontiers in acute leukaemia research.
Our scientific programme kicks off with two keynote lectures on Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (Ph+ ALL). On Saturday, we will have sessions dedicated to the latest advancements and insights in acute leukaemia. It continues with discussions on optimizing treatment outcomes and exploring new protocols for B-ALL.

There will also be some space for investigators to present some of the most promising abstracts in the field.

After lunch, our focus shifts to the impact of innovative therapies and new approaches in the treatment of acute leukaemia.

We look forward to your active participation and contributions, as together, we strive to advance the field of acute leukaemia research and improve outcomes for patients worldwide.

The registration will close on 20 October 2024, or when the registration is sold out. It includes access to all scientific sessions and catering and networking dinner according to the programme.

Registration Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be electronically mailed or postmarked by using the option “Modify registration”.

Refund of registration fees will be as follows:

• In case of cancellation, up to one month prior to the beginning of the meeting, your registration fee will be reimbursed in full (less bank charges).
• If the cancellation is notified between 15 and 30 days prior to the beginning of the meeting, 50% of the registration fee will be reimbursed (less bank charges).
• Cancellations notified between 1 and 15 day registration fee will not be refunded.

Certificate of Attendance

After the event, you will receive an email with a short survey to evaluate the course. After the survey is completed, you will be able to download the certificate of attendance.

How to reach the venue

By Public Transportation

• Metro green line (M2) to Cascina Gobba station and shuttle by automatic light railway service to Ospedale San Raffaele station (additional ticket required as ATM tickets and travel passes are not valid). This light railway operates from Monday to Saturday, first departure from Cascina Gobba at 6:40h and last departure from San Raffaele at 20h. On Sundays and public holidays (except under special circumstances) first departure from Cascina Gobba at 13h and last departure from San Raffaele at 20h.
• Metro green line (M2) to Cascina Gobba station, followed by ATM Bus No. 925 towards Milano Due (same ticket)

By Air

Milan Linate Airport (LIN)

• ATM Bus No. 923 towards Ospedale San Raffaele, last stop
• Taxi — 15/20 minutes

Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)

• “Malpensa Express” train to Milano Cadorna Railway Station (last stop), then Metro green line (M2) to Cascina Gobba and shuttle by automatic light railway service to Ospedale San Raffaele station (additional ticket required as ATM tickets and travel passes are not valid).
• Shuttle buses from the airport to Stazione Centrale Railway Station, then Metro green line (M2) to Cascina Gobba and shuttle by automatic light railway service to Ospedale San Raffaele station (additional ticket required as ATM tickets and travel passes are not valid).
• Taxi — 40/60 minutes

Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY)

• Shuttle buses to Stazione Centrale Railway Station, then Metro green line (M2) to Cascina Gobba and shuttle by automatic light railway service to Ospedale San Raffaele station (additional ticket required as ATM tickets and travel passes are not valid).
• Taxi — 30/45 minutes

By Train

Milano Stazione Centrale

• San Raffaele Congress Center can be reached in 15 minutes by taxi or with metro line 2 green (M2) to Cascina Gobba and shuttle by automatic light railway service to Ospedale San Raffaele station (additional ticket required as ATM tickets and travel passes are not valid).

Milano Cadorna

• San Raffaele Congress Center can be reached in 25 minutes by taxi or with metro line 2 green (M2) to Cascina Gobba and shuttle by automatic light railway service to Ospedale San Raffaele station (additional ticket required as ATM tickets and travel passes are not valid).

Travel and accommodation

Participants will be responsible for covering their travel and accommodation costs. The below map shows some accommodation options near the course's venue.

Important information 

EBMT cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to the private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

Please ensure that you have a valid passport/ID to travel to Italy. You may visit this official website to determine whether you need a visa to enter Italy. Should you require a visa letter, you will be able to download it after the registration process.
